  • Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

2009 is fast approaching and it’s that time of year again to count our blessings and remember the past year. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

In February for Nicks 26th Birthday I got us tickets for the Minnesota Wild game vs. Calgary. I surprised him with getting tickets from a co-worker that were 4 rows from the glass. Nick had no idea we were going, he just thought we were going to the Mall of America. He was EXTREMLY surprised when he realized that I wasn’t driving the right way to the mall. They lost the game but it was one heck of an experience!!

This last year marked our one year anniversary in May. Wow where did the time go. The first year went by so fast that we are already inching up on our two year. The weekend of our anniversary we went and spent some time in the cities. We shopped all over, went to a twin’s game and just spent some time away from home, we read all the wonderful notes people wrote to us in our one year anniversary box and it was great reading the thoughtful ones and the crazy funny ones!! We also had to try the top of our cake being that’s what your “suppose to do”. Surprisingly it was SUPER good for being froze for one year, who would have thought. Oh and I got Nick back by stuffing cake in his face this time!! J

                   annniversary 2 anniversary

The beginning of June we took a week’s vacation to Las Vegas. It’s a reasonable vacation with lots of fun involved. We went with my parents and we had a blast. My grandparents from Arizona also drove up and met us for a few days, and it was great seeing them again and spending some time together.

In August we celebrated my 24th birthday with a long camping weekend in the cities near Apple Valley. We camped for 5 nights and did a lot of things. We hit up the Mall of America, State fair, Renaissance Festival and some random stops up and around the cities! It was relaxing in a camping atmosphere while busy running around town doing lots of different things.

October we did our annual trip to Grand Rapids MN, to spend time with Nicks family. We went up for a long weekend. We went for a mini casino trip with his aunt Mary one evening before everyone started arriving for the weekend and we did pretty well.  We also did some random shopping around town for just about anything that caught our eye!!

Now that brings us back to December where we have plans every weekend, and before we know it, we will be bringing in the New Year with more memories to make and more stories to tell! With all that said Nick and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

            With Love,

    Nick and Angela

  • Going to try this again!

Its been forever since I have been on here to update any information. I think I am going to try this again. We will see if I can atleast update once a week. But honestly my life is quite boring for right now. Working is all that I do. We are finally done with DQ for the winter, they will open back up here come february.

This summer we did a lot around the house, New carpet in the basement, new roof over our heads :) landscaping outside, tore out some huge bushes in the front of our house. The house is looking so much nicer from when we bought it almost three years ago already. Febuary we will have been in the house for three years. Where does the time go?

We have two crazy cats because Nick is one heck of a cat lover, I just deal with them (they aren't my favorite, to say the least) We just recently bought ourselves a 46 inch big screen TV. I have to admit they are fantastic! So much better quality, and its super fun playing video games on every once in awhile. We have the Playstation 3 and the WII and they are both super fun in there own way.

What else to tell, I can't think right now, I just got over being sick for a week so i suppose i should get to bed. But I hope to update this more often. We will seee!!!!

  •  Christmas time is almost here once again with the new year soon approaching. We reflect back on the year 2007.

January~ Mom's birthday, we celebrate with her on Jan 4th to dinner and family time. We also try and make a trip up to the casino sometime in the month with my aunt and uncle and everyone to get our 500 points. It's tradition! :) Otherwise nothing big happened besides all the snow and cold that we normally have.

February~Valentines day is always an excuse to do something or go somewhere. My aunts birthday and also Nicks birthday is the 24th so we try and do something. This year we spent the weekend at home shoveling the 10 inches of snow that fell that weekend. Fun times let me tell ya Heres a pic from all of our fun

    SNOW 2007

March~ Winter is coming to an end, Celebrating my uncles birthday yet again at Treasure Island Casino. Doing some last minute wedding preperations and getting ready for all the bridal showers that I was having.

April~ Brings us to easter, my cousin Elizabeths birthday, bridal showers, bachlorette parties and dress fittings.. Lots of exciting stuff!! Need i say more, i will show some events by pictures!!!

wow crazy This was easter and we were singing "going to the chapel"

Another Co-worker was getting married the weekend before me so we had one together!

    HONEYMOON

June~ We started camping and settling in as husband and wife. Schools out start seeing some friends from school.

July~ Brings my cousins birthday on the 3rd then the 4th of July with fireworks and parades. We also have a big camping weekend in the middle where we spend a weekend with friends and family. This year we had about 9 families join us and we were at the Cannon Falls Campground!

August~ Brings my birthday and my father-in-laws birthday on the 28th! Yes we share the same birthday and its great! I also share it with my best friend Kelly. We spend the day together, do dinner and ofcourse we CAN NOT forget that we HAVE to go to the CASINO!!!!

September~ Sadly Summer is coming to an end. We do some last time camping, winterize it and get ready for the fall weather which seems that winter came a little fast this year! It seemed to be out of the ordinary cold.

October~ Starting off the month of october we went up north to grand rapids mn for a long weekend to spend with nicks family. We had a blast playing games and enjoying a day with a bonfire looking on to the lake in memory of his cousin who had been lost in the woods.Coming back from that mini vacation i was having major pain in my foot so i had gone to the doctor for some pain in my foot. Sure enough i had a stress fracture. Which they had been telling me I had plantar fascitis since July! I knew it was getting worse and that it couldnt have been that. So I was put in "the boot". Limited mobility and restrictions of sitting work only. Holloween came along and we sadly only had 20 kids come to the door. (Well two of them were big kids. MY PARENTS)

November~ Dads birthday, his hunting season and towards the end of november my fracture was getting lots better when we realized my tendons around the ankle bone were inflammed and causing me even more pain. (GREAT...) So still in the boot, going through therapy, isopheresis and so many other things. Thanksgiving we were busy we spent the morning/afternoon with my family having great food and playing games, and later that afternoon into the evening we went and spent some time with Nicks family! The worst news of all...... The monday after thanksgiving I got super sick..

December~ We have finally made to the last month this year. Like i said above i got super sick the monday after thanksgiving. I was out of work for two weeks and the beginning of week two i finally saw the doctor and they said that i had the gastrointestinal flu... YUCK. forsure did not enjoy that. I finally came back to work yesterday the 10th. Thank god I am ready to enjoy the christmas season. Tomorrow the 12th i go for a cortisone shot in my foot to finally call an end to all the pain that i have been having in my foot. I should also be out of the boot at the end of this month! *Keeping my fingers crossed*

So with that boring post for the ones that actually read this you can realize that i am AT WORK bored off my tail sitting at the front desk having enough time to update you with my life.. HAHA! Its either boring or super interesting. Sorry if i forgot anything, just was thinking of stuff that came to my mind!!! I probably forgot a lot of things but I am done, will try and update more later.

PRAYING FOR THOSE AFFECTED IN THE NASTY ICE STORM!! ESPECIALLY MY AUNT AND UNCLE IN OKLAHOMA!

  • Now that school has started.....

So now that school has started up it seems super weird. Yes, i understand that i am no longer in school but it still feels weird. I do plan on hitting up some of the football games when the time comes. Friday nights!!! Still in school at heart!

Also, almost have 4 months down being married. Such a weird thought. Its great though! Camping season is coming to an end and winter is just around the corner. Which will bring a new year and new adventures! YEAH!

I just turned 23 yeah not such a big deal but wow... i just continually think about how old i am getting. I know im still YOUNG.... but boy it feels weird.. Nick will be 26 at the beginning of next year and just knowing that the days are just flying by soo fast, its super weird.

We are getting lots of things done around the house we are on our 3rd day of working on staining our deck.. wow never thought it would take soooo long.. But it will look super nice once its totally finished. I am super excited!

Winter will probably be bringing us some indoor chores.. not sure what projects but i am sure i will find some!!

Anyways enough of my rambling i guess, i am just sitting here at work have only been here for about 5 hours but it sure as heck feels like 10.. We are super slow.. i guess thats way when i am at work i spend the majority of my time on facebook and myspace i get on xanga here to but can never think of what to write! Today, i guess i thought i could just type and type and see what i come up with. Interesting stuff huh!?!??!

Im off... Have a great rest of the week and weekend!

  • Everyone keep your thoughts and prayers up and going for the families who were affected by the Interstate 35 bridge that collapsed into the mississippi river. It is a huge tragedy that went down around 6pm last night Aug. 1 2007! 7 are already said to be dead and 80 are injuried. There are many cars that have gone into the mississippi which is said to be about 60 feet deep where they all went in, and they are expecting more deaths. This is an hour a way from me and i know plenty of people up near the cities that travel that bridge often. Luckily all that I know are ok, but still praying for those who are not.

  • So we are 47 days away from being MARRIED! We are so excited!

This week I have been putting in a lot of overtime at mayo. 15 hours to be exact in 3 days. Not to mention I have also been working at the Dairy Queen because its spring break and they are short so i told my manager that i would help out when needed so at DQ I am also working about 15 hours in 5 days So yeah im insane, but i just continue to tell my self about the money. 70 hours between two jobs in one week is insane but dang its good money!!! After the wedding we will be slowing down a little on working, every extra cent we make though we are bringing with us on our honeymoon!

Nick just got over pulling a few muscles in his calf. Last week we were here at the clinic getting an ultrasound on his blood flow in his leg because the doctor thought that he may have tore some muscles and that could have caused bleeding which could have led to blood clots, Thank god that all came back negative.. could you imagine something like that happening right before the wedding. I was a little nervous when the doc said that.. But all is good and he is back to work today! He was out for a good 5 days. Barely even able to walk.

Other than the whole Nick situation and both of us working our butts of there is nothing new. Invitations went out about two weeks ago and we are slowly but surely getting reply cards back, its so fun getting those to see who is going to be able to attend, and who is unable to attend! Its exciting hearing every night who has replied! Anyways, I best be getting back to work, When its slow I seem to find myself surfing my MYSPACE and FACEBOOK. Keeps me occupied and busy, hoping to find someone to chat with on the websites!

    Bye for now!
